CNN Cites “Person Familiar With Thinking” of Comey as Reason for Russia Probe
Another network jumped on the mainstream propaganda train Saturday by publishing a hit piece against President Donald Trump again based on sketchy, unidentified sources.
“Former FBI Director James Comey now believes that President Donald Trump was trying to influence his judgment about the Russia probe, a person familiar with his thinking says, but whether that influence amounts to obstruction of justice remains an open question,” CNN reported.
What does it mean the network’s source is “familiar with” Comey’s thinking? Is he a mind reader? Did he hear Comey specifically say Trump had been trying to influence his judgment? Or is he merely making assumptions based on what he believes to be true? There’s no way to know, which incidentally happens to be true of every source that has been cited by the liberal media in the past few weeks to attack the president.
“The common element in nearly all the major … stories about President Donald Trump this week is that they are based on source documents the outlets cannot authenticate, do not possess, admit are partial, and refuse to share,” Breitbart senior-editor-at-large Joel B. Pollak noted in a column published Friday.
“For the elite mainstream media, when it comes to protecting Democrats or attacking Republicans, there are no journalistic standards, no ethics, and no shame,” he added. Pollak has a point, especially considering that CNN appears to now be trusting the words of alleged mind readers. It’s no wonder the mainstream media’s credibility with the American people has plummeted.
And since the publication of this story Saturday, The Washington Post has run its own hit piece accusing Trump of asking two top intelligence officials “to help him push back against an FBI investigation into possible coordination between his campaign and the Russian government.” Not shockingly, the sources for this piece were unidentified and unnamed “current and former officials.”
It appears the mainstream media have no plans of stopping its proliferation of unverified claims and unnamed sources, at least while Trump is in office. Incidentally, an unnamed source with x-ray vision has revealed to us that, in his diary, the president lists Conservative Tribune as his all-time favorite website for news and commentary. Hey, it’s at least as reliable as CNN’s “reporting.”
